This week was very short week, it was only 2 and half days!!!!!
Homeroom
When we come into class, the first thing we do is unpack our backpacks. Everyday, we usually put our homework binder, iPad, sometimes eureka book, independent reading book, and snack on our desk. During homeroom period we were working on Venn diagrams with a partner to get to know the class better. Sometimes we played a game called 10, On the half day we played alibi. This was the first time in a while that we played alibi.
Specials
This week for specials we had art, and gym. We didn’t have special on Wednesday, because we had periods 5-8 not 1-4.
In art we continued on our African masks. In gym we had choice week, choice week is when we can play any game we want.
Math
In math we worked on measurement conversions. We have even done stations to help us with this. There is a pink station, an orange station, and a white station, each station is made up of two groups. In the stations we do activities such as, games, math in eureka book, and a worksheet.
Science
In science we are learning about ecosystems and living systems. We have also learned about producers, consumers, and decomposers.
Social Studies
A few weeks ago we switched from social studies, so this week we did not have social studies.
Activity
During activity period we finish unfinished work.
We also go to band,choir, and orchestra practice.
ELA
In ELA we are working on our personal narratives and the summarizing strategy SWBST(Somebody, wanted, but, so,then). We are also trying to finish our independent books, so we can start some partner book clubs.
