We also took some nature walks in which we practiced active listening, made observations using our senses, and then started creating poems filled with sensory details. Thanks to the weather, all 4 groups had very different experiences! We can't wait to see how their poems turn out!
We have had a great few weeks getting to know each other. Last week we read "What Do You Do With An Idea?" and afterwards, the students blew bubbles. While blowing bubbles we observed their characteristics and behavior and then compared the bubbles to ideas. The kids made fantastic comparisons that will help them learn to be patient with themselves and also respectful of their peers. We also took some nature walks in which we practiced active listening, made observations using our senses, and then started creating poems filled with sensory details. Thanks to the weather, all 4 groups had very different experiences! We can't wait to see how their poems turn out!
