Each week two students will be chosen to write the Weekly Update. They will decide whether to write the updates together, or to divide and conquer. Thank you to Sai and Kaavya for this week's Weekly Update!
ELA
In ELA we are working on reading assessments and when we are reading we have to stop and jot (writing on a sticky note about what you read in the past few pages. We are having a 1000 book challenge and its between 4 classes and whichever class finishes first gets happiness.
Emergency drill
Today we had a practice lockdown. A pretend mad cow was running through the hallways of the school. We were in gym class when that happened. So our gym teacher led us up to the field. And we were up there while the mad cow went away.
Math
This is a lovely week for math. We studied about place value and today we are learning about exponents. It was hard. We also watched a song called the Cupid shuffle. The dance was fun.
Social Studies
This week we were learning about the geography of the world and some other vocabulary words about the world. Today we learned about lines of latitude and longitude. We also watch cringy videos every in social studies before we start learning
